Spring: Icograda Design Week in Vilnius includes meeting with Lithuanian ministers

Vilnius (Lithuania) - As part of Spring: Icograda Design Week in Vilnius, the Icograda Executive Board met with the Minister of Education and Science, Gintaras Steponavicius, and Minister of Economy, Rimantas Zylius, on 11 May 2011 at the Vilnius Academy of Art.
The meeting was an opportunity to brief the government representatives on Icograda's current initiatives, including the World Design Survey, and to examine how closer collaboration could enhance opportunities for Lithuanian creative industries. Discussion topics included how Icograda's international network of more than 80 educational institutions could offer a platform for exchange and cooperation.
Following the meeting, both Ministers delivered opening remarks at the International Conference, which runs from 11-12 May.
