26.08.2008 News
Melbourne (Australia) - The deadline for the MIX08 call for entries is fast approaching. Tertiary design students from around the world have until 22 September 2008 to respond to the brief based on the statement "Sustainability is old news".
MIX08 is a cultural exchange project, developed by Indigo, the international indigenous design network, for tertiary design students from Icograda Education Network, Icsid Education Network, IFI Education Network, Cumulus International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media and other institutions around the world.
MIX08 invites students to collaborate with their local communities and peers, either within or outside their schools, and respond to the MIX08 brief in the form of a poster. The context for this brief is drawn from the 2008 Kyoto Design Declaration. Read the declaration.
A panel of judges will select up to 50 entries to be showcased in the MIX08 exhibition. The exhibition will be displayed on the Indigo website and will be available to schools and other institutions wishing to stage a physical exhibition.
MIX08 encourages collaboration and discourse between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students worldwide, as well as the participation of Indigenous people as advisors or mentors.
