Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) - Kuala Lumpur Design Week (KLDW) 2009 is taking place from 27 March - 4 April in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. KLDW President Izuldin Han Mohd Noor describes Kuala Lumpur's design potential as 'comparable to other innovative cities around the world,' and says the time is right to show Malaysia's creative economic power.

Under the theme "Show + Shine", Kuala Lumpur Design Week 2009 aims to encourage existing designers in Malaysia to improve the quality of Malaysian design exporting products to the world. The festival includes follow-up projects to encourage ideas for further practical usage.
The week includes an international conference, master classes with professionals and students, and a series of exhibitions.
