Vancouver (Canada) - Icograda and the GDC invite participants in to contribute to a silent auction in support of Architecture for Humanity, a global network of building professionals bringing design, construction and development services to communities in need. Cameron Sinclair, Architecture for Humanity co-founder, will be a featured presenter on 28 April.
"Cameron has been generous in donating his time to join us in Vancouver," says Russell Kennedy, Icograda President. "Architecture for Humanity embodies Icograda's credo of 'leading creatively' and using design as a medium for progressive change. As a community of designers, we wanted to create an opportunity for everyone participating in Design Currency 2010 to support their commitment to 'build back better' following the devastating earthquake in Haiti."
About Cameron Sinclair
Cameron co-founded Architecture for Humanity in 1999 with Kate Stohr, and together they have since compiled the first ever compendium on socially conscious design titled "Design Like You Give A Damn: Architectural Responses to Humanitarian Crises".
