CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL POSTER BIENNIAL MEDALISTS ANNOUNCED

Chicago (United States) - The winners of the have been announced. Of the 127 finalists announced in June, five posters were selected as prizewinners.
The selection of finalists and winning designs, displayed outdoors in the Bicentennial Plaza, part of
Grant Park, are available to the public during park hours until 30
October 2008.
This outdoor exhibition aims to distinguish
posters as the quintessential public art form, because they engage
citizens at street level, stimulate dialogue and articulate important
issues. Secondly, the exhibition aims to help the City of Chicago craft
its international reputation as a proponent of international
cooperation and communication, and as a strong civic advocate of design.
