CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: ICOGRADA EXECUTIVE BOARD 2007-2009

Montreal (Canada) - Icograda Member Associations are invited to nominate
persons who are members or officers to stand for election to the
Executive Board for the 2007-2009 term. Elections will take place at
the Icograda General Assembly 22 from 25-26 October 2007 in La Habana,
Cuba.
Nominations are invited for each of the following offices:
- President Elect
- Secretary General
- Treasurer
- Five Vice Presidents
Nominations must be received in writing by the Icograda Secretariat before 25 July 2007. (Article 50 of the Icograda Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws) and must be accompanied by a full biographical note on the candidate, including the name of the Member Association, their professional career and languages spoken.
Eligibility of present Board Members for nomination as candidates for 2007-2009 Executive Board of Icograda
Immediate Past President
Mervyn Kurlansky (Denmark) will step down from the Board of Icograda having served as President Elect, President and Immediate Past President. Jacques Lange will move from the role of President to the role of Immediate Past President.
President
At the end of the General Assembly 22, President Elect Don Ryun Chang (Korea), will assume the office of President having been duly elected at the General Assembly 21 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jacques Lange (South Africa) will step down from his position as President and assume the role of Immediate Past President.
Secretary General
The current Secretary General, Lise Vejse Klint (Denmark) has indicated her willingness to stand for re-election to this role at the General Assembly 22. Nominations are welcome.
Treasurer
The current Treasurer, David Berman (Canada) has indicated his willingness to stand for re-election to this role at the General Assembly 22. Nominations are welcome.
Vice Presidents
Veejay Archary (South Africa) has indicated his intention to step down from this role at the General Assembly 22.
Halim Choueiry (Qatar) has announced his intention to stand for re-election to this role at the General Assembly 22.
Richard Grefe (United States) has announced his intention to step down from this role at the General Assembly.
Russell Kennedy (Australia) must step down from this role at the General Assembly having served two terms. He has indicated his willingness to stand for election to the position of President Elect.
Ruth Klotzel (Brazil) must step down from this role at the General Assembly having served two terms.
Board Members
Omar Vulpinari (Italy) was co-opted by the current Icograda Board in Tshwane, September 2006 to serve as a Member of the Board. He has indicated his intention to stand for election as a Vice President of the Executive Board.

Nominations are welcome from Icograda Professional and Associate Member Associations in good standing. Nomination forms and the Conditions and Obligations of Icograda Executive Board Membership may be received by contacting the Icograda Secretariat.
