Announcing the Winners of Wolda '09 and the launch of a new format for Wolda '10

Milan (Italy) - , the Worldwide Logo Design Annual, is proud to announce the winners of its 2009 edition: 192 logos, selected from nearly 2000 entries from all over the world. The overall winner is the "Circus of Magazines" logo designed by Olivier Courbet for the online magazine marketplace. In the student category Wolda Talent, Keo Pierron from Texas, USA was the overall winner with the "Ponzu Sushi house" logo.
All the winning entries are displayed online at www.wolda.org and will be published towards the end of September 2010 in the '09 annual, a substantial hard-bound volume of exceptional quality printed on SAPPI acclaimed papers by FONTEGRAFICA.
Wolda also launches its next edition - Wolda '10 - and continues to evolve and improve with a brand new judging process that again breaks new ground: every participant has a say in deciding the winning entries!
The judging mechanism has changed, yet remains revolutionary in its concept. The winning logos will be selected by every participating designer, using a dedicated part of the website that has been carefully designed to prevent bias. This way, the winning logos will truly represent the thinking of the worldwide logo design community, given that all participants are themselves, by definition, logo designers.
Subscription fee now only  21 per logo! The set of outstanding logos selected by this process will be presented in a free online showcase, creating an e-archive that tracks the evolution of tastes, styles and trends in global design, year after year. Starting with Wolda '10, Wolda will be online only, eliminating the cost of producing expensive printed annuals. This makes it possible to reduce the entry fee to an extremely accessible rate, with the goal of increasing participation and allowing Wolda to become a truly faithful representation of logo design excellence worldwide. Designers, studios, agencies and students worldwide are invited to participate in Wolda '10, now open for entries.
