New ico-D Member is an innovative, industry-focused university sector college located in the heart of London next to the 02.

In Ravensbourne's own words:

"We are champions of creativity and collaboration and are dedicated to giving our learners the specialist skills and opportunities they need for outstanding careers in digital media and design.

We have a community of approximately 2,400 students and offer practically focused digital media and design courses from pre-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate to professional short course level. We are the only independent higher education institution with a longstanding specialism in design, media, communication and technology and are currently ranked 8th in the UK for art and design QS World University Rankings. We were also recently named one of the top 100 European design schools by Italian architecture and design magazine Domus.

Our open plan building was designed for collaboration and creative working - winning the prestigious RIBA award for “Most Innovative Higher Education Building in London” in 2011.

Driven by industry standards and supported by the latest high performance technology, we produce highly employable and enterprising graduates. We have a strong track record in graduate employability and are currently in the top third of all UK institutions with 95.3% of our graduates employed or in further study within a year of graduating, a figure higher than the national average.

Alongside our student community more than 100 creative technology businesses utilise our cutting edge technologies and media resources, and collaborate with our student body and industry partners. Some of our notable alumni include Fashion Designer Stella McCartney and 2012 Olympic torch Designer Jay Osgerby."

Fom 27 - 30 June this year, Ravensbourne will host Learn X Design, the 4th international conference for design education researchers. Learn X Design 2017 will explore the "the allure of the digital and beyond", drawing academics from around the globe to London for a four day discussion on themes including research in design education, e-learning and design, wearables and virtual reality.
