ICOGRADA ENDORSES 19TH BIENNIAL OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

Brussels (Belgium) - BIO 19, the 19th Biennial of Industrial Design, has received Icograda's endorsement.* The exhibition will feature current trends in contemporary industrial design from Slovenia and around the world, with special emphasis on design solutions for daily living. BIO 19 will be held 15 September to 15 October 2004 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and is presented by the BIO Organising Committee in collaboration with the Architectural Museum of Ljubljana and the Designers' Society of Slovenia (DOS).
Participants may submit entries under the following categories:
A. Products: in regular production, or at least in 0-series production.
B. Information Functional Systems, Corporate Identity Programmes: visual communications and products that represent design solutions for corporate, domestic or public information systems.
C. Design Projects: including design programmes, design campaigns and student works.
The most desired works for the exhibition are products that were nationally or internationally recognised or awarded for their exceptional quality. Individuals or organisations may submit an exhibit consisting of a single object or a number of objects to be presented as a whole. The organisers will only accept only products created after 1 January 2002 and not exhibited at BIO 18. Exhibited works will be published in the BIO 19 catalogue, along with data on the designers and producers, in both Slovenian and English. The submission deadline for the exhibition is 31 May 2004 for Slovenian entrants, and 15 June 2004 for entrants from abroad.
