Design for Asia Awards announces 2011 judges

Hong Kong SAR Â The Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) has announced the judging panel for the 2011 Design for Asia Awards. The DFA Award is presented to companies and designers from around world that have achieved business success through good design that reflects, or has an impact on Asian lifestyle.
The programme follows a two-stage judging process. The first stage focuses on the entry's design. Actual products are displayed side by side for the judges to evaluate. The best in each of 18 categories receives a DFA Gold, Silver or Bronze Award, or Certificate of Merit. The categories cover apparel and accessory design, communication design, product and industrial design, and environmental design.
The DFA Gold Award winner in each category, the "Judge's Choices" and entries nominated by the DFA Regional Expert Panel then go forward to compete for Grand and Special Awards.
