CALL FOR ENTRIES: SAPPI IDEAS THAT MATTER

International - "Ideas that Matter" is an initiative by Sappi - the world's leading producer of coated fine paper. This annual campaign encourages creative marketing and advertising professionals from Europe, North America and South Africa to create printed communication campaigns and designs around important social or environmental issues.
The aim of the initiative is to not only highlight the plight of these worthy causes, but also to give creative teams a chance to show their support by applying their creativity, using paper as the platform, to produce ideas and campaigns to help these needy causes. The successful applicants will be awarded a grant of up to R300,00.00 (US$20,000) for the print production and implementation of their idea.
Who is eligible
Individual designers, design agencies, in-house design departments and individuals or groups of design students are all eligible to apply.
Selection
Independent selection committees in Europe, North America and South Africa will review all applications in their respective region. These committees will comprise graphic federation representatives, leading graphic designers, public service professionals and representatives of Sappi.

About Ideas that Matter
Ideas that Matter was established in 1999 by Sappi to support and transform the creative ideas of designers into a powerful force for the social good. Since the program began, over 225 projects have been funded for a total of more than $8 million. Few of these projects are large or well-known. But all of them represent good design working to make a difference for the people they touch.
