15TH INTERNATIONAL LAHTI POSTER BIENNIAL 2005 WINNERS

Lahti (Finland) - Lahti Poster Museum and the International Lahti Poster Biennial are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. The Biennial will be open to the public until 18 September, 2005.
A total of 1683 posters from 40 countries were submitted for the exhibition and the competition jury selected 243 posters to be displayed. There are two special categories this year, the series for environmental posters and for posters for pleasure.
A large number of the submitted material came form Asia, including Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. Japanese designers were the most active participants. Poland, especially young Polish designers, have also shown an active interest in the exhibition.
Prizes for the best posters of the biennial were awarded by an international jury. The members of the International Jury included Ahn Sang-soo (South Korea), Anke Feuchtenberger (Germany), Melchior Imboden (Switzerland), Finn Nygaard (Denmark) and Aimo Katajam ki (Finland).
