ICOGRADA WELCOMES NEW MEMBER IN GHANA

Montreal (Canada) - Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana is the newest member of the Icograda Education Network (IEN). The Department of Publishing Studies and Department of Communication Design offers programs in book design, illustration, computer integrated publishing, graphic design, printing, packaging design, multimedia and advertising. Graduates qualify with a BA (Hons) Publishing Studies (4 years), BA (Hons) Communication Design (4 years), Postgraduate Diploma Publishing Studies (1 year) or Master of Fine Art (2 years). Mr. Eric Anane-Antwi, lecturer, will become the institution's liaison with Icograda.

representation in Africa has been a strategic priority for our
organisation during this term," says Brenda Sanderson, Icograda's
Managing Director. "We are pleased to welcome the Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology and look forward to their
collaboration in programming and projects."
Icograda's
Education Network brings together the global community of communication
design educators and students. The IEN was inaugurated at a meeting in
Brno, Czech Republic in 2002. Today the network includes 76 schools in
29 countries. Ghana becomes the third African country represented in
the IEN, which includes educational members in South Africa and
Zimbabwe.
A total of 195 organisations: international
affiliates, professional organisations, educational institutions and
design media in 58 countries are represented through Icograda.
