Icograda endorses Good Design Award 2012

Montréal (Canada) - Icograda has endorsed the Good Design Award 2012, a long-standing initiative of the (JDP). The award winners will be announced on 1 October and exhibited 23-25 November 2012.
The Good Design Award is a comprehensive program for the evaluation and encouragement of design. When it was initiated in 1957 in Japan, entries were limited to industrial products. As of 2000, the categories include social systems, architecture, graphic signs, etc. Recipients of the award are granted licence to use the G-mark, a widely recognised symbol in Japan, on their product or design.
The judging committee is composed of Designers, Architects, Engineers, Art Directors and Consultants from across the range of design disciplines. In addition to the selection of Good Design Award recipients, the judges confer special awards for designs that serve broader social or economic purposes and that contribute lasting value.
