Entry Categories
1 -- Posters
Posters of all kinds and genres will be accepted. There are no restrictions on theme, size or printing technique.
2 -- Books
Books
will be judged for: overall concept, cover, grid, decorative elements
and design of books, albums, catalogues and booklets.
3 -- Calligraphy
Any graphic design projects, based on traditional as well as modern or experimental calligraphy will be accepted.
Participation Terms
Works
should be dated 2004-2006. The competition accepts separate artists as
well as groups of artists for participation. No special format or
printing techniques are required. There is no participation fee. The
number of entries is unlimited. The Entry Form and Entry Label must be
filled in print letters. The work titles must be translated to English.
One label per entry must be attached to the back of the pieces with
adhesive tape (no glue!). Make a copy of the Entry Form if necessary or
print it out from Biennale website. In order to be reproduced in the
catalogue, all works should be supplied with slides, transparencies or
electronic versions on CD (in TIFF formats, 300 dpi, 30 cm on the
larger side, CMYK + fonts). The names of the work s authors selected
for participation will be published by the Selection Committee on the
Biennale website. Neither work nor transparencies will be returned.
They will remain in the Golden Bee Biennale collection. Organisers have
the right to use work from the competition for non-commercial purposes
free of charge.
Deadline:
The deadline for submissions is 15 May 2006.

Main exhibition
The
main exhibition of the Golden Bee Biennale will take place in the
Central House of Artists from 1 > 8 September 2006. The exhibition
will be open every day except for Monday.
Exhibition programme
The
Golden Bee Biennale will take place in the Central House of Artists
parallel to a Design and Polygraphy exhibition (3 > 8 September
2006). The Biennale programme includes an exhibition of the
international jury members, a one-man show featuring David Tartakover
from Israel (Grand-Prix Winner of Golden Bee 6) and a number of
accompanying exhibitions and activities in Moscow museums and
galleries.
Workshops
On 6 September
2006, 12AM 6PM, Members of the International jury will give lectures in
the auditorium of the Central House of Artists.
Awards ceremony
The awards ceremony will take place on 7 September 2006 at 6PM in the Central House of Artists Concert Hall.
Catalogue
A
full-colour catalogue will be published prior to the opening of the
Biennale. Participants will receive a 50% discount from the original
price.

Attention
All
shipping and insurance costs must be paid by the participant. The
organising committee will not be able to receive your work if you
estimate your mailing unit at more than USD $20 if sent by regular mail
- or USD $5 if sent via express mail (DHL, Federal Express etc). Please
do not estimate your works at a sum above the indicated one!
