EXPO AGEING & DESIGN MONTREAL 2008 ENDORSED BY ICOGRADA
17.07.2007 News
Montreal (Canada) - From 4-8 September 2008, Montreal will host the first
international conference and exposition on Ageing and Design at the
Palais des Congres. Organised by the International Federation on Ageing
(IFA), these events are being held in parallel with the IFA's Global
Conference on Ageing, under the common theme 'Defining Health,
Participation and Security through an Enabling Environment'.
Icograda is pleased to extend its endorsement to the conference and exposition. The collaboration between the two international organisations is a natural fit, says Brenda Sanderson, Icograda's Managing Director. "Bringing together a broad stakeholder base to examine how design can address issues faced by ageing societies is directly liked to our strategic goals. Building an inclusive dialogue that recognises design's role in advancing the best interests of our communities exemplifies Icograda's mission to 'lead creatively'. To do this in Montreal, where both of our organisations are based, demonstrates Montreal's commitment to design."
The Ageing and Design conference will feature an interactive program, including plenary panel sessions, specialist highlight sessions and high-level international meetings. The Exposition will have 300 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in ageing and design. All events are focused on bringing together key stakeholders in the fields of ageing and design in an environment that provides cross-discipline dialogue and fosters partnerships for the future.
