CHARLES HIVELY ACQUIRES CREATIVE CONVOCATION
16.05.2006 News
Of
the sale Moore said, "I decided to make this move so someone like
Charles could take over the reins and I can devote more time to my
family and the full-time job I have. I love what Charles has done with
3x3 and I expect equally great things to happen to Creative
Convocation."
Hively said, "I think Curtis has done a
marvelous job of starting Creative Convocation, it's an important and
unique publication, and I am honoured that he would approach me to take
over the publishing and design of it. I know the personal sacrifices
Curtis has made; knowing first-hand what its like to start a magazine
from scratch." Hively went on to say that the magazine will stay true
to its roots in the academic community. "You can expect some stylistic
changes as is expected from one designer to another but the core focus
of the magazine will not change," said Hively. There will be new
departments added to each issue which Hively feels will add to the
importance of the magazine among the student audience. "Our plan is to
take what Curtis so ably started and grow it beyond where it is today.
As a young publication, the sky's the limit." added Hively.
The offices will move from Salt Lake City, Utah to 244 Fifth Avenue, Suite 269, New York, NY 10001 effective immediately.
