ICoD is pleased to announce the Member Event 'Cultures of Care'- Imagining Care through Design organised by the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. The call for proposals is open from 09–20 December 2024.  

SUMMARY

The Annual Open Electives organised by National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, India (with campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, & Bengaluru) will be held this year from the 09 to 20 December 2024 in on-campus / offline mode for the second-year Bachelors students and first-year Masters students of NID from its Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bengaluru campuses.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The primary theme for this year’s Open Elective 2024 is ‘Cultures of Care'- Imagining Care through Design, and we hope that practitioners from various domains will resonate with the idea and send proposals. It is an invitation to explore creative responses on the theme of Care and its interpretations from practitioners across various domains. The elective is envisaged as a trans-disciplinary space where varied vantage points, knowledge systems, philosophies, expertise, inquiries, curiosities and practices converge towards a holistic deliberation on Cultures of Care.
