From 15.10.2017 to 16.10.2017 General Assembly

The ICoD 27 General Assembly (27GA) was held on 15-16 October 2017, following the ICoD Platform Meetings in Montréal, Canada in tandem with the World Design Summit in Montréal, Canada. 

At the biennial 27GA, ICoD Members considered and voted on policy, elected the next ICoD Executive Board and Audit Committee members, ratified the admission of new Member organisations, as well as discussed important proposals to make ICoD better able to serve the international design community. A short Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) for ICoD Members was held on 15 October just before the 27GA to discuss and vote on all changes to the Articles of Incorporation. The 27GA and the EGM were held at the Westin hotel in Montréal.

Why did we need an Extraordinary General Meeting before the General Assembly?
By Québec law, all changes to the Articles of Incorporation (as opposed to the Bylaws) must be made at a meeting called only for that purpose, an Extraordinary General Meeting. As we know that our Members are coming from very far and it would be very disruptive to have to gather twice, therefore  Extraordinary General Meeting are scheduled  immediately preceding the a General Assembly
